User Privacy Policy

This is the short version, written for you, not lawyers. It covers what stays on your phone, what you can opt into, and how to delete everything.

In short

Despo is built so your habits stay yours. You do not create a Despo login. We do not keep a copy of your streaks, notes, or checkmarks. There is no Despo cloud for habit data.

On your device

Habits, checkmarks, streaks, themes, and reminders live on the phone. Uninstalling the app removes them from that device.

No Despo account

There is no email/password account with us. Optional backup uses your Google account (Android) or Apple ID (iCloud).

Your cloud, if you want it

Android can back up CSV files to your Google Drive. iPhone can sync habits with iCloud. We do not host those files.

You can leave cleanly

Export a CSV anytime. Delete Drive or iCloud copies from those apps, or email us and we will help.

What we never see

We do not receive or store:

  • Your habit names, notes, or checkmark history
  • A Despo username or password (there isn’t one)
  • Apple Health samples (those stay on the device through Apple)
  • The contents of your Google Drive or iCloud

What you can turn on

None of these are required to track habits.

  • Google Drive (Android): backup and restore CSV files in a Despo folder in your Drive. How backups work
  • iCloud (iPhone): keep habits in step across devices on the same Apple ID.
  • Apple Health: optional on iOS. Health metrics stay on-device.
  • Privacy Vault: an on-device lock. We cannot recover a forgotten PIN.

Ads & purchases

The free app may show Google ads (including a rewarded ad to unlock an extra habit). Google may use device identifiers to serve those ads, with consent where the law requires it.

If you buy Despo Pro, Apple or Google handle payment. RevenueCat only sees purchase/restore info, not your habits.

Anonymous usage counts (for example “a habit was created”) may go to analytics. Crash reports can be turned off in Settings. Neither includes your habit names.

Your controls

  1. Export or import a CSV in Settings → Data whenever you want a personal copy.
  2. Disconnect Drive or iCloud in Settings, then delete leftover files in Google Drive or iCloud. Step-by-step: Account deletion.
  3. Uninstall the app to clear local data on that device.
  4. Email support@chaudhariapps.com if you want help or want us to confirm we do not hold extra copies.
