Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Despo (“the app”), operated by Chaudhari Apps, treats information when you use the iOS or Android app or this website.

You do not need a Despo account to use the app. Habits, checkmarks, streaks, appearance, and reminder settings are stored on your device. If you connect Google Drive (Android) or iCloud (iPhone), backup or sync data is stored in your Google or Apple account. We never see it and we do not run a Despo cloud for habits.

Depending on how you use the app, your device may store:

• Habits, folders, schedules, checkmarks, notes, streaks, and analytics derived from them
• Appearance, notification, and alarm preferences
• CSV files you export or import
• An optional Privacy Vault PIN or lock setting, stored locally
• Whether optional integrations (Drive, iCloud, Health) are turned on

Uninstalling the app removes this local data unless you have a backup in Google Drive, iCloud, or a CSV you exported.

Google Drive (Android). If you sign in, the app on your phone uses Google’s drive.file scope to create a Despo folder in your Drive, with year subfolders and CSV backup files. Those files stay in your Google account. We never see them and we do not run a server that stores habit backups. Google’s handling of Drive data is described in the Google Privacy Policy and Google Drive Terms.

iCloud (iPhone). If you turn on iCloud Sync, habits and checkmarks can stay in step across devices signed into the same Apple ID. Appearance and reminders stay on each device. Apple’s handling of iCloud data is described in iCloud & Privacy.

On iOS you can link metrics such as Steps, Sleep, Active Energy, Stand Hours, and Distance. Health data is read on-device through Apple’s Health framework. It never leaves your device for a Despo server. See Apple Health & Privacy.

The free version may show ads (including rewarded ads to unlock an extra habit) via Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers, approximate location, and usage data to serve and measure ads, subject to your consent choices where required (for example in the EEA/UK).

Optional Despo Pro purchases go through Apple or Google and are processed by RevenueCat to restore entitlements. RevenueCat may receive a purchase token, product identifiers, and an anonymous app user id, not your habit names or checkmarks.

The app may send anonymous usage events (for example screen names and counts such as “habit created”) through Firebase Analytics. These events do not include habit names, notes, or checkmark history.

Crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics) can be turned off in Settings under Debug. Crash logs may include device type, OS version, and stack traces. They are not used to reconstruct your habit list.

Privacy Vault is an optional on-device lock. The PIN or biometric preference stays on your phone. We cannot recover a forgotten vault PIN.

The app is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We do not store habit data or a Despo account profile, so there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on a Despo server. Habits live on your device or in your Google/Apple account. You can export, restore, or delete that data yourself. See Account deletion.

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
